Pauline has always sung in a choir - the first - in the 1963 Primary Schools Music Festival! She joined WWL in 2004/05 after hearing WWL sing at a joint ANCA concert. She loved their music and now she loves all the singers too! Pauline has two wonderful, grown daughters and has retired from her career as a general practitioner. In 2018, she became Chairperson of WWL after serving as Deputy Chair in 2017 and is a very active member of the WWL committee.
Gabby joined WWL as a Soprano 1 in 2015 and in 2018 became Deputy Chair of the WWL Committee.
Sue joined WWL in 2000 and loves singing Alto 1 with the group. After many years in teaching and public administration, she is now training to be a Pilates instructor and appreciates that singing is good for both the body and the soul. Sue loves most genres of music especially bluegrass and enjoys attending concerts and festivals. She is also a keen cyclist and cat-lover. In 2014, Sue became a member of the WWL Management Committee responsible for merchandise but relinquished that role for some extensive travel in 2015. She accepted the very busy role of Committee Secretary in 2018.
Heather Hill joined WWL in 2006 and sings in the Soprano 1 section. She enjoys the weekly practice, the friendships and performing in the concerts. She has played the piano, flute and recorder but prefers to sing. This hobby is a contrast to her life in the public service working on environmental policy and the River Murray. In her spare time she likes to grow and plant native trees. Heather was nominated and accepted the role of Treasurer on the WWL committee in 2017 and continues in 2018.
Di is one of the newest members of WWL joining the Alto 1 section in early 2016. She is a Primary School music classroom teacher and is training the Festival Choir and 2 junior choirs. Di loves singing, plays guitar and sang in a trio that performed at small gatherings. While still very new to the group, Di accepted a role on the WWL committee in 2017 and has remained on the committee in 2018 as the Social Co-ordinator.
Margaret joined WWL in 2006 and as a 2nd soprano, loves the experience of singing with other fabulous women. After many years of teaching flute she has now changed direction somewhat incorporating ukulele, walking spiritual trails and spending precious time with grandchildren. She became a general member of the WWL Committee in 2018.
The Women with Latitude Management Committee is elected each year at the Annual General Meeting of members. Their role includes, but is not limited to, bringing the issues, concerns and comments of members to the meetings to determine appropriate action if necessary; to redefine the group’s policies when required; to decide on Director and Member fees; to approve expenditures; to ensure the WWL brand is upheld; and, to ensure the satisfaction of the group with regard to activities, repertoire and policy.
