Sue Gent has been a member of WWL since 1999 and loves the generosity of spirit that is the culture of WWL. Sue lends her voice to the Alto 1 section and has a firm belief that everyone should know at least one song other than Happy Birthday. A Graphic Designer by day, Sue provides her expertise for all promotional materials as required. Sue has served on the WWL committee for a number of years as Vice Chair and since 2016 has been the group's very worthy Chairwoman.
Pauline has always sung in a choir - the first - in the 1963 Primary Schools Music Festival! She joined WWL in 2004/05 after hearing WWL sing at a joint ANCA concert. She loved their music and now she loves all the singers too! Pauline has two wonderful, grown daughters and only recently retired from her career as a general practitioner and is currently Vice Chair and a very active member of the WWL committee.
Sarah is one of the original members of WWL with their first Musical Director, Rosalie Day. In her time with the group, Sarah believes that each Director has provided tremendous musical challenges and she thoroughly enjoys the diversity. When she is not singing, working, socialising or relaxing, she and her husband love getting out and exploring our wonderful country. She is currently serving on the WWL Committee as Secretary.
Heather Hill joined WWL in 2006 and sings in the Soprano 1 section. She enjoys the weekly practice, the friendships and performing in the concerts. She has played the piano, flute and recorder but prefers to sing. This hobby is a contrast to her life in the public service working on environmental policy and the River Murray. In her spare time she likes to grow and plant native trees. Heather was nominated and accepted the role of Treasurer on the WWL committee in 2017.
Chris joined WWL in 2010 after attending several of their concerts and loving the sound of the combined voices and obvious camaraderie of the women. She works as a nurse and in her spare time, she enjoys gardening and walking her dogs. Chris joined the WWL committee in 2016 and continues to serve in 2017.
Geraldine is one of the founding members of WWL and sings in the 2nd Alto section. She was nominated and accepted a role on the WWL committee in 2017.
Di is one of the newest members of WWL joining the Alto 1 section in early 2016. She is a Primary School music classroom teacher and is training the Festival Choir and 2 junior choirs. Di loves singing, plays guitar and sang in a trio that performed at small gatherings. Albeit very new to the group, Di has accepted a role on the WWL committee in 2017.
The Women with Latitude Management Committee is elected each year at the Annual General Meeting of members. Their role includes, but is not limited to, bringing the issues, concerns and comments of members to the meetings to determine appropriate action if necessary; to redefine the group’s policies when required; to decide on Director and Member fees; to approve expenditures; to ensure the WWL brand is upheld; and, to ensure the satisfaction of the group with regard to activities, repertoire and policy.
