Cinzia’s involvement with Women with Latitude began in 2013 when she filled in as a guest Director. There were more and more of those occasions as Libby O’Donovan’s touring schedule successfully soared over the next few years. It was Cinzia who rehearsed and directed the very successful Adelaide Fringe performances the choir shared with The Spooky Men of the West in 2014 and 2015 and then became the full-time Music Director from September 2015.
Cinzia graduated from Adelaide University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Music Education and in 2007 was appointed to the position of Head of Music at St John’s Grammar School, Belair. Cinzia also runs 7 choral ensembles within the school and for many years was a Senior Choral Tutor for the Australian Girls Choir.
Her choirs have won multiple awards at the Adelaide Choral Eisteddfod achieving first place in 2008, 2009 and 2010. In 2011 the Senior Vocal Ensemble was the inaugural winner of the vocal division at the Generations in Jazz Music Festival in Mt. Gambier, earning them the title of best school choir in Australia. 2014 has provided another successful run at GIJ, achieving second place.
In 2011 Cinzia was one of 19 teachers in Australia to win the NEITA Inspirational Teacher Award for South Australia, after the SJGS community nominated her.
Cinzia consistently aims to improve her choral education and has completed a Masters in Education and the Australian Kodaly Certificate.
